Consumer Help
Many states offer help to consumers with health insurance problems through Consumer Assistance Programs*. They provide residents with direct help with problems or questions about health coverage, by phone and email.
How can I get direct help with a problem or question?
Use the map below to find contact information for your state’s Consumer Assistance Program. If your state doesn’t have one, the map points you to other consumer resources including phone numbers, email addresses, and links to your state’s Department of Insurance that may provide answers to your questions. If you are a participant or beneficiary in an employer-sponsored health plan contact the Employee Benefits Security Administration, U.S. Department of Labor at www.askebsa.dol.gov or call 1-866-444-3272.
