In addition to benefits offered to all employees of the Federal Reserve System, Atlanta Fed employees have additional benefits specific to our District. These include:
Medical/dental plans
Atlanta Fed staff are eligible for coverage in one of five plans beginning the first of the month following date of hire. All medical plan premium deductions will be taken on a pre-tax basis. Staff enroll in medical plans via the Your Benefits Resources.
Employees can choose between the standard or premium Blue Cross/Blue Shield Dental PPOs. Medical insurance options are as follows:

Bank staff are also offered the option to contribute to a flexible spending account. Accounts afford pre-tax dollars to pay for items like daycare, medical/dental deductibles, copayments, and other eligible health, dental, and vision expenses not covered under health care accounts.
Adoption
The Bank's Adoption Assistance Plan will reimburse employees up to a maximum of $5,000 for certain expenses incurred in conjunction with the adoption of a child. All regular full-time employees who have completed one year of service are eligible for this benefit.
Paid holidays
The Federal Reserve recognizes the importance of providing time for rest, recreation, and personal activities, which is why employees receive 10 paid holidays each year. Holidays are:

Time off
Paid time off (PTO) policy includes all annual compensated time off except for holidays, bereavement, military duty, jury duty, and absences of an extended duration due to
personal illness. Employees may utilize their PTO leave for any purpose they choose, including short-term personal or family illness or any other personal use.
Non-exempt staff earn one and a half days per month up to a maximum of 17 days their first year of service. Exempt staff earn two days per month up to a maximum of 20 days their first year of service. PTO may not be taken until it it earned.
Education assistance
The Bank provides reimbursement to employees for approved educational expenses. The program covers individual classes, certificate programs, and degree programs on undergraduate and graduate levels. The classes must be held at accredited institutions
during nonworking hours. The Bank will reimburse for grades of C or above.
Parking/transit benefits
Free parking is available in the Bank garage for all officers and other employees on a seniority basis. On evening and weekends, parking is available to all employees on a first-come, first-served basis.
For those employees using mass transportation to commute to work, the Bank offers a commuter subsidy program (FREE RIDE). The FREE RIDE Commuter Subsidy Program pays 100 percent of an employee's mass transit cost up to the allowable $120 IRS maximum.
Wellness programs/fitness center
The Bank offers ongoing wellness programs. The Atlanta office has a very well-appointed gym where fitness classes are conducted.
Cafeteria subsidy
The Bank subsidizes a significant portion of cafeteria operating costs. Employees are afforded what is generally a lower-cost eating option than commercial eateries offer.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Administered by ComPsych, the EAP is available to all employees and their households. EAP provides confidential consultation to assist with a variety of problems, such as domestic or emotional, financial difficulties, alcoholism, or other chemical dependencies. All counseling sessions are conducted by clinically trained professionals at a various locations throughout the District and all services are prepaid by the Bank.
