Professor Curates Smithsonian Exhibit That Examines Impact of Young Women on Society Through Intersectional Lens

Mireya Loza, an associate professor in the Department of History, participated in the curation of an exhibit currently on display in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. The exhibit, titled Girlhood (It’s Complicated) will be featured through the end of the year and details the complexities of young womanhood through a myriad of aspects in society.
Physics Professors Study Magnetism in 3 Dimensional Nanoscale Networks for Next Generation Information Storage

Three-dimensional (3D) assemblies of nanoscale magnets offer unique opportunities to explore magnetic phenomena in intriguing and complex configurations, with vast potentials to reshape how information is stored and processed. In a recent paper published online in Nano Letters, Department of Physics professors Kai Liu and Gen Yin along with their team examine 3D nanomagnetism in a novel type of low density metallic nanowire networks.
Two College Alumni Elected to Hometown School Boards Hope to Make Education More Equitable
