VBOC Mission 

The Veterans Business Outreach Center mission is to contribute to the success of entrepreneurs who are members of the U.S. military community including veterans, service-disabled veterans, reservists and Guard members, family members, and active-duty service members preparing to transition from military service to business ownership.
 
VBOC Region X covers Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho.
 
VBOC Objectives
 
The Veterans Business Outreach Center, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), has the following objectives:
  • Build up the number of businesses owned by veterans and other members of the U.S. military community
  • Increase the number of jobs created by those businesses
  • Maximize the growth rate, profitability and value of each business. 
Veteran-owned businesses may be startups, growth-oriented existing companies, or planned acquisitions.
 
VBOC Services
 
The Veterans Business Outreach Center delivers free business counseling and training, and equips entrepreneurs with resources, so entrepreneurs can:
 
  • Create a business plan and financial projections
  • Understand funding options in starting, growing, or buying a business
  • Prepare loan request packages and make presentations to lenders and investors
  • Expand a business
  • Manage a business profitably
