My grandfather was the chief engineer aboard her for almost 30 years. I'd love to see the boat some time

i am proud to be a part of the historic fireboat JOHN J HARVEY which used its archaic old ship to pump water to the site of the two building collapses, when the fire department couldn't. They worked for 80 hours straight..after they evacuated many people from lower manhattan. They need help financially and physically..deck painting and the like...

Wonderful Job! check out what everyday ordinary people did to help see "Boat Lift, An untold tale of 9/11 resilience" narrated by Tom Hanks. Makes me proud to be an American and a native New Yorker!

Congress, DOT, and Secretary LaHood: Fund the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy appropriately. The Midshipmen and staff at this Federal Service Academy deserve facilities that are safe and up-to-date.
