Thursday and Friday, January 17–18, 2013
8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (CT)

Location: TBA, Nashville, TN

The Nashville Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Middle Tennessee State University Center for Economic Education, and Austin Peay State University College of Business are committed to providing quality learning opportunities for educators. This two-day workshop will provide secondary educators and college preservice (student) teachers with the employment requirement for teaching the required high school personal finance course. The session will allow educators to expand their knowledge of personal finance concepts and provide them with curriculum and supplemental teaching tools for use in the classroom. All concepts covered during the workshop will focus on the four key areas of the personal finance course standards: income, money management, spending and credit, and saving and investing. Participants must attend both days to receive the employment requirement to teach the high school personal finance course.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. There is no charge for this program, but registration is required. Space is limited.
