Using the Common Core to Teach the GPS for Social Studies

Discover teaching strategies for integrating the new Common Core Standards for history/social studies in your high school social studies courses. Dr. Elise Langan, assistant professor of education at Macon State College, will teach techniques for using primary source materials. Workshop participants will receive free resources, breakfast, and lunch. Teachers are responsible for their travel expenses and substitute reimbursement. There is no charge for this program, but registration is required, as space is limited. Registration deadline: Friday, October 12, 2012
