Today’s Wounded Warriors are meeting extraordinary obstacles including visible, physical injuries as well as invisible ones, like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Believe in Heroes is a Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) initiative calling on Americans to recognize the enormous sacrifices made by our newest generation of veterans and to honor the service of these individuals over a two-month campaign leading to Veterans Day.

Program Spotlight: WARRIORS TO WORK
Our Warriors to Work program provides a personalized, high touch career counseling service. The program is dedicated to changing the lives of Wounded Warriors through career placement assistance. The team has placed more than 500 Wounded Warriors in gainful employment this year! Here is what the program provides:
- We match skills and experience to the needs of hiring employers through individual counseling, resume assistance, resume writing, job leads, and career guidance.
- Warriors can post a profile and a resume on a dedicated website where recommended employers can search for qualified matches.
- Services are also open to family members and registered caregivers.
If you’re an employer looking to hire Wounded Warriors, complete a Warriors to Work employer contact form and, once your company is approved, you can post open positions or search profiles and resumes of qualified warriors.
WWP 8K Runs
WWP 8K Runs are coming to select cities this fall! Join runners and WWP enthusiasts to raise awareness and funds to support Wounded Warriors through WWP. Register today and help foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of injured service members in our nation’s history!

2011 ANNUAL SURVEY RESULTS ARE IN
Since 2010, Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) has distributed a survey to its Alumni members in order to identify trends within our Wounded Warrior population. This information helps WWP develop and refine efforts to serve Wounded Warriors and their families with the best possible programs and services.
The Annual Alumni Survey focuses largely on identifying the demographic breakdown of respondents, along with collecting information about their physical health, mental well-being, and economic empowerment. We are happy to report many positive trends within our survey population, but we know there is still much to be done to meet the ongoing needs of our Wounded Warriors and their family members. We look forward to further enhancing our programs based on the 2012 feedback.
