TRICARE Prime Options

There are four TRICARE Prime Options:

• TRICARE Prime
• TRICARE Prime Remote
• TRICARE Prime Overseas
• TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas

Active Duty Service Members
Active duty service members must enroll in one of these options and will pay no enrollment fees or any other out-of-pocket costs for care received.

Active Duty Family Members
Active duty family members have minimal out-of-pocket costs when enrolled in one of these TRICARE Prime Options:

• No enrollment fees
• No network copayments
• Point-of-service fees will apply if using the point-of-service option.

All Others
Retired service members, their families and all others can only enroll in TRICARE Prime and will pay annual enrollment fees and network copayments. Additionally, point-of-service fees will also apply if using the point-of-service option.
