RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It allows websites to release timely content in a standardized format. An RSS "feed" allows users to receive new information from a content provider without having to repeatedly visit the site.
You can subscribe to these RSS feeds using an RSS reader, which can be web-, desktop-, or mobile-based. Some popular RSS readers (also called "aggregators") include Google Reader, NewsGator, and Netvibes. By using an RSS reader, you can easily manage multiple feeds, receiving new content from each one automatically.
