You people have NO shame! Shame on you for desecrating the names of over 3000 American citizens who lost thier lives on 9/11/01! Shame on you for only thinking of yourselves on a day of rememberance....shame is brought on this country when we can't recognize that something terrible has happened, and we can only think of ourselves. For once, just once, can't you put aside your hate for TSA and recognize the importance of remembering what happened that day? No, because you'll never think of anyone but yourselves....shame.

Actually, many of us are thinking not about ourselves but about our country. We indeed recognize that something terrible has happened. As horrible as the 9/11 attacks were, some of us believe that the continuing response to those attacks is at least as terrible.
What is shameful is a "Homeland Security" bureaucracy shrouded in secrecy and exempt from the accountability and oversight required of other government agencies. It is particularly shameful when that bureaucracy exploits the sainted memory of the 9/11 victims to justify trampling basic rights and ignoring the Rule of Law.
I'm sure Homeland Security officials would like us to continually remember 9/11 and the fear and horror we felt on that day, so we'll be eager to surrender our rights, liberty, privacy, and even bodily integrity in exchange for their dubious "trust us" assurances of security.
The important thing, I suppose, is that 9/11 is a meaningful occasion. But with the diversity that has long been a unique strength of this country, it will have different meanings for different people. It is your right to believe that it should mean we remember to cower like good little sheep as we patiently wait for the officers to pat us down. It is my right to consider that a shameful desecration of both the 9/11 victims and what America should stand for.
Some people don't have the freedom to walk down the road without the threat of death being there, some people don't have enough water to keep their children alive, some people don't have a roof over their head or even a country to call home so stop moaning about a bit of security and be glad you have the freedom and the money to get on a plane!!

Do We (as in "We the People...") have the Freedom to get on a plane without being seen naked or getting groped?
Just because we still have some Freedoms doesn't mean we haven't lost any.
