Midwest Teacher Conference

The second annual Midwest Teacher Conference will take place on April 9, 2012, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The conference will include a choice of professional development breakout sessions, dinner and an overview of the Common Core standards and their impact to teachers. Attendees will also receive access to free training and classroom-ready materials.

The event is sponsored by the Kansas City Fed in partnership with the Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska Councils on Economic Education and their affiliated Centers for Economic Education.

About the Midwest Teacher Conference
This year's annual event is centered around the theme: "Leading the Way in Economics and Personal Finance Instruction."

Topics to be covered include strategies for integrating economics and personal finance through math, children’s literature, history and other social studies-related subjects. An additional session will also provide an overview of the Council on Economic Education’s latest technology-based tools and resources.
