Could Restrictions on Payday Lending Hurt Consumers? A Research Seminar by Video Conference

The Oklahoma City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City invites community leaders to a video cast research seminar on the potential effects of payday lending restrictions. This seminar highlights the recent research conducted by Community Affairs Senior Economist Kelly Edmiston entitled, "Could Restrictions on Payday Lending Hurt Consumers?" The program will include a keynote address by research author Kelly Edmiston and a panel discussion featuring Darrin Andersen, president of QC Holdings which offers short-term loans in over 550 branch locations nationally, and Josh Frank, senior researcher with the Center for Responsible Lending. The program will be video cast to other District offices and sites throughout the country.
