  • HOPE Now Workshops in North Texas and San Antonio in June 2008: NeighborWorks® America and the HOPE NOW Alliance, a national partnership between lenders and nonprofit housing counselors, are conducting a series of Home Preservation Workshops across the country that began in March in California and continue through the summer. These events are designed to help bring together borrowers in financial distress with a representative from their servicer and/or a nonprofit counseling agency. All local HUD-approved counseling agencies are invited to participate. The events are open to the public from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., and free parking is available. The Texas dates are June 9 at the Arlington Convention Center, The Ballroom, 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington, Texas, 76011; and June 10 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Live Oak Civic Center, 8101 Pat Booker Road, Live Oak, Texas, 78233.
  • Dallas HOPE partnership will continue to offer workshops for distressed homeowners in various communities in North Texas throughout the summer. Contact Linda Davis-Demas at the North Texas Housing Coalition for a list of workshops, ldavis@nthcinc.org.
