Gerald B. Smith joined the Houston Branch Board in 2011.
Smith is chairman and CEO of Smith Graham & Co. Investment Advisors, a global investment management firm founded in 1990. Previously, he held senior management positions with Underwood Neuhaus & Co., Westcap Corp. and Dillon Read & Co. He was a founding member of the New York Futures Exchange.
Smith serves on the boards of the National Association of Securities Professionals, Cooper Industries (where he serves as lead independent director), ONEOK Inc., ONEOK Partners MLP and the Greater Houston Partnership. He is also a trustee and chairman of the investment oversight committee for the Charles Schwab Family of Funds.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University.
