Our "Photo of the Week" comes to us from the Secretary of State's official photographer, Michael Gross, and offers a glimpse of the Heads of State luncheon at the 67th United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 25, 2012. Comprising all 193 members of the United Nations, the General Assembly meets in regular session from September to December each year, and thereafter as required. This year's General Debate is scheduled from September 25 through October 1.

During the Heads of State luncheon, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton expressed appreciation to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for his leadership. Our "Photo of the Week" comes to us from the Secretary's official photographer, Michael Gross, and shows U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton meeting with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Chair of the National League for Democracy and Member of Parliament from Kawmhu Constituency, at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. on September 18.

Our "Photo of the Week" comes to us from Bernardino Soares of the U.S. Embassy in Dili, where Secretary Clinton became the first-ever U.S. Secretary of State to visit Timor-Leste on September 6. The photograph shows Secretary Clinton and U.S. Ambassador to Timor-Leste Judith R. Fergin as they are greeted by traditional dancers at a coffee-processing factory owned by the Cooperativa Cafe Timor (CCT). Secretary Clinton traveled to Timor-Leste as part of a six country trip to the Pacific, East Asia, and Russia.

According to USAID, CCT is the country's largest cooperative with more than 21,000 farmer members and employing 3,000 workers during the coffee harvest and processing season from July to December. Photo of the Week: Nations Come Together for 2012 Paralympics

Our "Photo of the Week" comes to us from David Hartnoll at the U.S. Embassy in London, a city that is hosting the 2012 Paralympic Games August 29-September 9. The photograph shows U.S. Paralympic athletes training with their British counterparts. According to the embassy, this year's Paralympics are expected to be the largest in a history that dates back to 1948 with a small group of disabled British World War II veterans. The London Games are bringing together more than 4,000 athletes with a disability from some 160 countries. The United States has sent a 227-member team.
