The PIV Credential

Q: I enrolled (photo and fingerprints) several weeks/months ago; when will my credential be ready? Where do I pick up my PIV Credential? A: Once your PIV Credential has been delivered to the USAccess Center identified by your Sponsor, you will receive an e-mail directing you to set an appointment to pick up and activate your PIV Credential. The e-mail will come from the Hspd12Admin@eds.com account, with the Subject Line “USAccess - Credential Ready for Pick Up”.

The e-mail also contains a password/PIN that you will need to activate your PIV Credential. Be sure to bring this PIN with you to your appointment so you can so you can successfully activate your PIV Credential.

It is important that you make an appointment at the same USAccess Center identified in the e-mail, as this is where your PIV Credential is located.

Once you have made your appointment, you can get driving directions by using the Find USAccess Centers feature on the USAccess Program Web site.
