As we celebrate May as National Military Appreciation Month, we would like to express our gratitude to our servicemen and women in all branches of the military.

Wounded warriors appreciate the program because it encourages them to continue serving their country in a different capacity. The experience that these veterans bring to the USCIS workforce is also something we are proud of and from which we benefit.
In the Fall of 2009, USCIS hired wounded veteran Nicholas Nibikora. Mr. Nibikora grew up in the Republic of Burundi and immigrated to the U.S. to escape civil war. After the attacks of September 11th, he joined the U.S. Navy to protect his new homeland. Mr. Nibikora praised the program for giving him an opportunity and was delighted when he was offered a job at USCIS. “They offered me the job and welcomed me with open arms,” said Mr. Nibikora. “When I wake up in the morning to go to work I feel like “I love this job” because of my coworkers, we work together as a team with motivation, and I learn every day from them. I feel like I am with my family. And of course, they are my family.”
USCIS believes in the value of working together with those who have risked their lives to protect the country. To learn more about our Wounded Warrior program please call 202-233-2500.

Very glad to know the fees paid by the USCIS "customers" are being put to good use at least in some instances. Please hire more vets, at least they risked their lives and did something to protect the country instead of just seating at the desks and ignoring files containing the applications [while promptly cashing the checks that came with the applications!]
My big salute to Wounded warriors, it is really great work from USCIS that they are recruiting, and hiring severely wounded, injured or disabled veterans. And yes this is also great opportunity for Wounded warriors to take this benefit.
The Wounded Warrior program is a really good idea and I believe it veterens who deserve the recognition and support provided by the program.
It's very nice to know that they are putting or utilizing what the USCIS are paying to valuable use..It will certainly encourage them to be vigilant and efficient in their fees..
Thanks've been posting, I just know that May is National Military Appreciation Month. Thanks.
Blessings to USCIS for creating the Wounded Warrior Program! My brother is a Wounded Warrior (Afghanistan, 2009) and is doing much better in his recovery. So, thank you very much from me and all Wounded Warriors!
Many of my friends in the military have been personally motivated and affected by this program. I'm so grateful for the Wounder Warrior Program.
Dittos and amen to that. The Wounded Warrior Program is a blessing to so many people. We can't do enough to thank all vets and especially the ones who "gave" more than most!!
This Wounded Warrior Program will definately give a sense of security to the members of the Military.
The Wounded Warrior Program is a great initiative for those selfless individuals who put their lives at risk for country and citizens...The highest salute to one al all.
My dad was in the army and I was raised an army brat and I have always felt that our military services and our veterans deserve much better care than they get, so it is always good to read about a program that is doing something to help.
I came first time into contact with the National Military Appreciation day when I was in the US on vacation. I really think that this is a great idea since I have several family members who are doing there service in the French army. I wish we had something like this in Europe, this would honour or troops much more and give the people more confidence. For me this is a great initiative which should be done more.
Great program! Very good to give the wounded veterans still the possibility to serve their country.. Is the project a success?
