Additional Info

Education and workforce needs are changing across the United States. The Inaugural Maryville College K-20 Symposium “Starting with the End in Mind: Education, STEM, and Workforce Development" on November 8-9th in Maryville, Tennessee, seeks to bring together representatives from the education and workforce development communities to share and discuss issues that address the changes taking place in these critical areas.

Attendees will engage in Educator and Workforce Development Forums, Educational Topic Panels, School and Community Development, and STEM Education Breakout Sessions to learn about current trends, successes, and challenges in education and growing our workforce. We look forward to having a large Georgia contingent of educators and chamber of commerce/business people attend this conference. Many of the sessions will be presented by our GACHE schools and business partners.

The Symposium is jointly sponsored by the Georgia Appalachian Center for Higher Education, GACHE, our Tennessee counterpart, TnACHE and Great Promise Partnership, Inc. (GPP). If you are a school administrator or counselor, please invite and encourage a member of your local chamber of commerce or business representative to attend with you. If you are receiving this as a chamber member or local business, encourage your local high school principal and counselor to attend with you.  It will be well worth your time!

Registration, hotel accommodations, and more information about featured Symposium speakers can be found by going to www . etnmsp . com.

We look forward to seeing you in Maryville, Tennessee on November 8-9, 2012!
