The Taos Resource Management Plan, now approved, is prepared to provide broad-scale direction for the management of public lands in northern New Mexico administered by the Taos Field Office.

Santa Fe River Canyon Riparian Forest Restoration Project Environmental Assessment
The Decision Record and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Santa Fe River Canyon Riparian Forest Restoration project have been signed by Taos Field Office Manager. The decision provides for removal of Russian olive, a non-native species.  Native species, such as willow and cottonwood, will be planted on BLM lands in the Santa Fe River Canyon between La Cieneguilla and La Bajada, NM. The Santa Fe National Forest will be posting a separate decision by the Española District Ranger for the Santa Fe River Canyon riparian area on Forest Service lands.
