Bad manners at the White House?
Posted by Eric Wilson on August 04, 2009
At a town hall style meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina on July 29, 2009, President Obama said, "When we come back in September, I will be available to answer any question that Members of Congress have.  If they want to come over to the White House and go over line by line -- what's going on -- I'll be happy to do that."

Health Caucus Chair, Rep. Michael C. Burgess, M.D. accepted the Presiden'ts offer, but an anonymous White House aide downplayed Obama's offer, saying "we'll see."

Thank you for the detailed response to the subject of my email. I appreciate your position on the health care issue but I think the dems are going to jam the bill on us. The dems and the white house do not seem worried about losing several seats in 2010 or even the reelection of the President in 2012. But this President is trying to destroy our Country! No question. Can each conservative Member of Congress not be more active in the leadership of the voters at home: Organization, mobilization, or whatever it takes to stop these people from this destruction. It doesn't have to be secretive or below the surface. This is a war for America and we need to fight it. What about the Constitutional violations: Is there no way to legally file an action against activities that are unconsitiutional in the attempt to stop Obama. Anything to slow him down until 2012. We must do something more than just being the loyal opposition and having the "it's their turn" attitude! James Herrington Hurst, Texas 76054
