Off-Highway Vehicles

Effective Jan. 1, 2009
All OHVs made by the manufacturer primarily for use over unimproved terrain

and that weigh 1,800 pounds or less are required by law to display a valid OHV Decal.

(This includes "street legal" vehicles that meet these two requirements!)

Got Decal?

New: As of August 1, 2011
OHV Decal renewal notices can now be recieved through e-mail!
To sign up [click here]. Even though Game and Fish sends out the renewal notices, the OHV Decal still needs to be obtained through MVD, MVD third party service providers or online at www.servicearizona.com.

(It's in the All Services section at the bottom of that page.)

The OHV Decal is only valid for one year from the date of purchase. For example, if you purchased your OHV Decal in January of 2011, you have until Jan. 31, 2012 to purchase the renewal OHV Decal.

The purpose of the Arizona Game and Fish Department's Off-Highway Vehicle Program is to promote safe, ethical and responsible OHV use while emphasizing protection of environmental resources. The Department recognizes the use of off-highway vehicles as a legitimate source of recreation, however, it is the Department's mission to recognize and minimize OHV impacts on wildlife and their habitat.
