Izmir Consular Agency

Our American Consular Agent serves American Citizens in west and southwest Turkey. The Consular Agency is able to accept applications for United States passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, notarize documents, and assist in cases of illness, arrest, disappearance, or death of an American citizen in Turkey. The Consular Agency in Izmir covers the regions of Aydin, Denizli, Izmir, Manisa, Mugla, and Usak.

Visa services, including forms and information, are not available at the Consular Agency. Information and visa application forms are available on the Embassy website at Ankara.usembassy.gov. Visa applicants should continue calling 212-340-4444 to receive information and schedule an appointment for a visa interview in Ankara or Istanbul.

The Consular Agency will be open on Mondays and Tuesdays by appointments only for routine services such as passport applications and notarials. Passport applicants will be forwarded to Ankara for final processing so passport applicants should allow 15-25 days for processing.
