Junior Ranger Program

The Junior Ranger Program is for young people interested in our national parks. If you are planning a visit to Denali National Park & Preserve, and learning about the wildlife, wilderness, and people of Denali sounds like fun, then this program is for you. The Denali National Park & Preserve Junior Ranger Program is designed to be completed cooperatively with parents or other adults. It is a great way for families to discover Denali together.

What is a Junior Ranger?

Junior Rangers help park rangers with their jobs. Park rangers are responsible for the park, the resources within the park (such as trees, caribou, and mountains), and the people who visit the park. A Junior Ranger has to learn about Denali National Park & Preserve, share this knowledge with other people, and teach people to care for wild and special places such as Denali. As a Junior Ranger, as long as you care about Denali, you can help protect its future. A Junior Ranger has a very important job.
