English Language Summer Camp for Kids

English Language Specialist, Dr. Caroline Linse, conducted a five-day program that targeted 8-12 year olds.  The Program was designed to enhance children’s writing and communicative skills through stories, plays and scientific explorations. Throughout the week, children were involved in different projects while at the same time developing their English language skills.  Projects included fun activities like frosting cookies, making glue, secret writing, blowing up balloons and other activities like making big-book stories and taking parts in plays. On the last day children shared their plays and big books as a means of celebrating their experience. PAO, Bradley Niemann attended the end-of-program ceremony and awarded certificates to participants. RELO partnered with the American Corner at Isa Cultural Center to implement this program, with over 15 kids attending.
