Software Engineer

Site Reliability Engineer

The Site Reliability Engineer will help design, build and monitor our applications and systems infrastructure that currently now handles billions of monthly page views.

You should have a software engineering background and a strong understanding of systems internals, and love building and running massive-scale web production systems and application environments. You get excited about reacting to a problem to find a solution and thrive on being tactically focused to ensure Pinterest’s site reliability. A few other things we look for:

Fundamentals

Experience with Linux/Unix/BSD and running infrastructure with Amazon Web Services. Automation experience with tools such as Chef or Puppet and strong scripting skills in Bash, Python or Ruby. Database management in MySQL. Architecting MySQL or NoSQL databases a plus.

Education

BA/BS degree in Math or Computer Science a plus.

Product Designer

You will be responsible for defining how people interact with Pinterest. We\'re looking for designers passionate about social product design - not just how Pinterest looks (although that counts too), but how people use Pinterest to connect with each other. Our product designers sit with engineers at the beginning of every new project. We care about how every little bit of an interaction feels, and you need to as well.

Communication

You should be able to clearly articulate your design decisions.

Portfolio of design projects demonstrating outstanding product design skill.

Data Infrastructure Engineer

You will help design and build our data storage and processing infrastructure. You will be joining a small team that owns the soup to nuts on how we store and move data at Pinterest. You will be responsible for managing our EMR cluster and it\'s dependencies. Additionally, you will help build and manage data logging and pipeline tools.

Programming Experience

Proficiency in the programming language of your choice. Python and Java preferred. Also extensive experience with Hadoop, HDFS and MapReduce, with preferred knowledge of running Hive on EMR. Experience with distributed logging systems like Kafka.

Curiosity

Exploring cutting edge open-source technologies and how they can be leveraged for our infrastructure.

iOS Engineer

You will be responsible for bringing Pinterest to the iPhone and iPad. We think of iOS as a core platform at Pinterest. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and product designers to bring your vision for Pinterest on iOS to reality. This role requires experience with iOS and a strong understanding (and appreciation) of touch and gestural interfaces. Ideal candidates will have applications they have built as personal or professional projects.

Partner Engineer

In this role, you will engage with some of the world’s most influential companies to help them leverage Pinterest’s solutions most effectively. You will figure out how to bring our technical solutions to market and will work with our product, design, and engineering teams to influence our product direction. Head of Partner Marketing

Pinterest’s content partners include publishers, publisher networks, brands & retailers and commerce platforms. We’re looking for a dynamic and seasoned marketing leader to develop and scale our partner marketing efforts. In this role, you’ll work across the organization to define and take our partner solutions to market. In doing so, you'll work closely with our product and partner facing teams to bring our partner solutions to market and take a lead role in defining how we position these solutions with key content partners. You’ll segment our partner ecosystem and will work closely with our partner and product management teams to drive adoption and engagement. Head of Community Marketing

We’re looking for a dynamic and seasoned marketing leader to scale and manage our product marketing efforts in support of the Pinterest Community. In this role, you’ll play a key role in influencing product development through segmentation and market analysis while working closely with our product, community operations, PR, design and engineering teams to drive continued growth and engagement. You’ll help define and execute on our community engagement strategy through events, key partnerships and Pinterest’s scaled communications channels. You’ll be responsible for defining the roadmap for the Community Marketing function and will scale and lead a high performing team. Country Manager, Japan

You will research the Japan market, develop a comprehensive product and service strategy for the Japan market and lead the localization of Pinterest's service in Japan. You will start up the Japan operation and grow the organization.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the overall business plan for the Japan market.

Increase Pinterest's recognition and brand image in the market.

Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with Rakuten and other relevant companies in the industry.

Identify and implement new business opportunities and business growth strategies.
