Office of Small Business Development Centers
Mission Statement

The Office of Small Business Development Centers (OSBDC) is part of the Office of Entrepreneurial Development (OED) and oversees the execution the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program. Through partnerships with state governments and institutions of higher education, SBDCs host a network of centers that provide professional and targeted technical assistance to small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Specifically, the OSBDC provides programmatic and grant oversight of the SBDC program ensuring effective delivery of services as well as ensuring proper expenditures of federal funds.  OSBDC also manages oversight of special emphasis initiatives within the SBDC program that include international trade and export assistance; e-commerce; technology transfer; assistance for veterans; regulatory compliance; and research and development.
