VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System

Major Construction Project

Capital Asset Realignment for Enhanced Services (CARES)

In November 2005, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System initiated a multi-million dollar major construction project. The purpose of this project is to consolidate the three-campus health care system into two campuses, to accommodate the current and projected workload, and to provide a state-of-the-art, improved care environment while reducing operating expenses and enhancing services.

At the conclusion of the project, VAPHS will be well prepared for the future. These projects will enhance patient care and improve access, increase privacy, improve efficiency, and increase Veteran satisfaction.
