Director's Innovation Initiative

Managed by the Advanced Systems and Technologies Directorate, the National Reconnaissance Office's Director's Innovation Initiative (DII) program is designed to identify technical and scientific solutions to problems challenging the NRO in the 21st century. The DII program is designed to provide initial feasibility funding to a wide range of ideas, with the goal of transitioning the most promising ideas to other NRO offices for further development and potential acquisition. Both Government and non-Government organizations may participate in the DII program.
