The Administrative division provides policy and procedural direction and central services support in all areas of Management and Administration, including Human Resource Management, Budget and Finance, Information Technology, Facilities Management, Records Management, Procurement and Property Management.
These programs are managed by the Administrative Division staff to ensure continued resource availability to support the legal activities of the United States Attorney and the United States Department of Justice. In addition, the Division follows internal control practices that ensure proper use and reporting of taxpayer funded assets. At the direction of the United States Attorney, the Administrative Division manages an operating budget plan of approximately $8 million.

Currently, the Western District of North Carolina has 37 positions in support of two staffed offices, within the State of North Carolina. In the Criminal and Civil Divisions, these positions are made up of Assistant United States Attorneys, Paralegal Specialists, and Legal Assistants.
