Guidance on how to use and adapt Healthier Worksite Initiative (HWI) toolkits for your work place
Q: Do I need permission to use any of the materials found in (HWI) toolkits?
A: No. Government publications, including HWI toolkits, are in the public domain and may be used and reprinted without permission; a source citation is appreciated. Duplicate and distribute as many copies of these materials as desired.
Q: How do I download example materials found in HWI toolkits?
A: Many of the example documents in HWI toolkits are available in Portable Document Format (PDF). You will need Acrobat Reader (a free application) to view and print these documents. Please review the information on downloading and using Acrobat Reader software.
To download a specific PDF file, click once on the right mouse button, a dialog box will appear.
Internet Explorer browsers select "Save Target As," another "Save As" dialog box will appear. Choose a convenient location to save the file to on your computer.
Netscape browsers select "Save Link As," another "Save As" dialog box will appear. Choose a convenient location to save the file to on your computer.
Q: Can I modify example materials found in HWI toolkits?
A: Yes. However, the HWI and CDC logos must be removed if the example materials are altered.
Q: How do I order printed copies of HWI toolkits?
A: HWI toolkits are only available online.
