Many times official work records are incorrectly requested through the Privacy Act and/or Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) because employees may not be aware of the proper way to access their files. To ensure prompt access to your work files, please follow the instructions below to quickly and easily access your Official Work Folder (OPF) and/or workers' compenstation claims.

Official Personnel Folder (OPF)

Current TSA employees should first access their records through the electronic OPF (e-OPF) at https://eopf.nbc.gov/dhs/. In addition, you may request assistance from your facility's Human Resource/Administrative Office. For additional information, please navigate to the to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) website: http://www.opm.gov/FAQs/topic/personneldoc/index.aspx.

Former employees retain access to the e-OPF website (above) for up to 90 days following separation from the agency. After 90 days, please contact the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) at the following address for assistance:

Office of Workers' Compensation Program (OWCP) Records

Current and former TSA employees seeking records pertaining to OWCP records may contact the U.S. Department of Labor via http://www.dol.gov/owcp/dfec/fec-faq.htm or in writing by following the procedures below.

Put your OWCP provided claim number* on the top of every page. Send only single sided copies, and be sure to keep a copy for your records. You are entitled to one free copy of your case under the Privacy Act and you may obtain updates of your case file upon written request at no charge. You may be charged for additional copies of your case file. If your claim file was created after 2002, you may request a copy of your case file in CD-ROM format.
