Welcome to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's Carlsbad Office

The Carlsbad Fish and Wildlife Office (CFWO) works in partnership with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. We serve all or portions of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Imperial counties, as well as Santa Catalina and San Clemente Islands. Our programs include: Habitat Conservation Planning, Interagency Cooperation (Section 7 consultations), Listing and Recovery (critical habitat, 5-Year Reviews, Recovery Plans), Environmental Contaminants, and Conservation Partnerships.

The Palm Springs Fish and Wildlife Office (PSFWO) focuses on wildlife conservation related to renewable energy development, including development of the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan; and Habitat Conservation Planning and Interagency cooperation in Imperial, Riverside, and southwestern San Bernardino counties.
