ORISE Environmental Assessments and Health Physics Resources

For more than 30 years, the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) has been a leader in the field of environmental assessments and health physics. Because of our extensive experience and expertise, ORISE has been called upon frequently to assist in the development of resources and publications that outline the proper procedures for performing radiological surveys and radiochemical analyses.

MARSAME Resources

ORISE has led the way in providing training courses and instruction on using the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Assessment of Materials and Equipment (MARSAME) manual.

Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM)

ORISE was a key contributor to the development of this multi-agency, standardized approach to implementing radiological surveys.

MARSSIM Resources

Additional MARSSIM-related resources, including presentations and reports, are available and illustrate how ORISE we contributed to the development of this standardized approach to radiological surveys.

Standards Development

ORISE’s staff of experienced health physicists have contributed to the development of technical standards and guidelines, including NUREG and ANSI standards.
