Map Help

Tip: While zooming in or out, or while drawing or editing a shape, you can cancel any time by pressing [Esc].

mActionZoomIn.png Zoom in by selecting the Zoom In tool, and then draw a rectangle on the map by clicking and dragging the mouse. Press Esc key or click another map button to leave zoom-in mode. Show Me

mActionZoomOut.png Zoom out by selecting the Zoom Out tool, and then draw a rectangle on the map by clicking and dragging the mouse. Press Esc key or click another map button to leave zoom-in mode. Show Me

i_pan.png Move the map up, down, or sideways by selecting the Pan tool, and then click and drag the map to the desired position. Show Me

mActionZoomFull.png Zoom to the first map you saw when you came into IPaC by clicking the Zoom to Full Map Extent tool. Show Me

draw.png Draw the boundary of your project location by clicking the Draw tool and choosing to draw a line or polygon; then click on the map to start drawing, and click the map again to add additional vertices. Double-click to add the last vertex. While drawing a shape, you can cancel any time by pressing [Esc]. Show Me

draw_poly.png Draw the polygon boundary of your project location by clicking the Draw tool and choosing to draw a polygon; then click on the map to start drawing, and click the map again to add additional vertices. draw_line_measure.png Measure the length of the line boundary of your project location by clicking the Draw tool and choosing to measure a line; then click on the map to start drawing, and click the map again to add additional vertices. edit.png Edit the boundary of your project location by clicking the Edit tool, and then click and drag a blue square to create a new vertex; click and drag a green circle to move a vertex; and Control-click a green circle to delete a vertex. While editing a shape, you can quit any time by pressing [Esc]. Show Me

delete.png Delete the project location boundary from the map by clicking the Delete tool. Show Me

mActionZoomToPolygon.png Zoom to the project location by clicking the Zoom to Project tool. Show Me

zoom.png Zoom in or out on the map in small increments by clicking on the Zoom Bar in one of three ways: click on + or -, drag the zoom arrow, or click on a zoom scale hash mark. Show Me

Note: After drawing or uploading your project location and clicking
Continue, the map extent and layers selected below are displayed
as a read-only map on the Trust Resources list (Step 3).
