D-III football semifinal pushed back a week

DODDS-Europe athletic director Karen Seadore announced Tuesday that because of problems arranging airline flights from Rota, Spain, to Germany, the European Division III semifinal game between No. 2 seed Bamberg and defending champion Rota, the No. 3 seed, has been moved from Saturday to the following Saturday, Oct. 27.
Oct. 27 was to have been a bye week for the D-III survivors and was therefore available for the unexpected schedule change. The Bamberg-Rota winner will play the winner of this Saturday’s Sigonella-at-Baumholder game in the D-III title game Nov. 3 at Baumholder.
