U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Marc Grossman is traveling to Doha and Helsinki from June 14 to June 18, 2012.
Ambassador Grossman will be in Qatar to discuss continued U.S. and Qatari support for an Afghan peace process. He will meet with Qatari government officials.
In Helsinki, Ambassador Grossman will participate in a meeting of the International Contact Group (ICG) on Afghanistan in preparation for a major conference on Afghanistan’s economic development in Tokyo on July 8. The ICG is a group of more than 50 countries and international organizations that meets regularly to support the stability and security of Afghanistan.
