Ramírez, Nancy Rexach, María Vera-García, Dominique Allbritten y Ginel Caban accedieron a una entrevista para hablar de sus experiencias en el ejército y su conexión al ser de origen hispano. Our new family: Celebrating Hispanic heritage in the 316th ESC Five noncommissioned Officers in the 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) have a combined time-in-service of almost 100 years and 12 deployments among them. Master Sgt. J. Carlos Ramirez, Sgts. 1st Class Nancy Rexach, Maria Vera-Garcia, Dominique Allbritten and Staff Sgt. Ginel Caban agreed to sit down for an interview to discuss their experiences in the Army and their connection being of Hispanic heritage. The 316th ESC is an Army reserve unit based out of Coraopolis, Pa., is currently deployed to Kuwait and is made up of Soldiers from 27 states, Washington D.C and Puerto Rico. 10.15.12 Story by Capt. An Old Fashioned Kuwaiti-American Truck Rodeo
Kuwaiti and American soldiers competed together in a truck rodeo.
Members of the Kuwait National Guard Transportation Battalion and the 1462nd transportation company of the Michigan National Guard divided up into three combined teams of Kuwaiti and American soldiers at camp Arifjan, Kuwait. They competed in three events using both American and Kuwaiti trucks. The purpose of the truck rodeo was to get experience using each other’s equipment.
Anchor lead: soldiers of the 1462nd transportation company, Michigan National Guard, are getting an opportunity to learn from their counterparts in the Kuwait National Guard. Sgt. 1st Class Adam Stone tells us about the truck rodeo they conducted together.
