Victoria Hartke, Acting Public Buildings Service, Regional Commissioner

Victoria Hartke was appointed to the position of Acting Regional Commissioner on April 16, 2012. Previously, Victoria served as Senior Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer, Susan Brita, focusing on performance management.  She brings a combination of Central Office and Regional experience that will prove beneficial during this transition.

Victoria led the realignment of the Real Estate Acquisition group in NCR and served as Acting Director, Office of Leasing.  She also previously served as Division Director in NCR for the Real Property Utilization and Disposal Division.  Victoria joined GSA in February 2005.

For twelve years prior to joining GSA, Victoria was responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to accomplish commercial and residential leasing, acquisition and disposal actions for the Department of State at about 270 embassies around the world.  She speaks fluent French, some Russian and a little Spanish.

Victoria holds a B.A. in Economics and French from Gettysburg College, a J.D. from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from the George Washington University School of Law.  She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Study and Master of Corporate Real Estate from CoreNet Global.

Her daughter, Ainsley, is in second grade and her husband, James M. Crotty, is a Senior Rulemaking Analyst with the Federal Aviation Administration.
