Where Your Gift Goes 97.4 cents of every dollar given to CMMB goes to healthcare programs

Where Your Gift Goes

97.1% of donations to CMMB in FY2011 went directly towards our lifesaving programs. This is not something new: we have posted similar results for many years, as reflected in the high ratings we traditionally receive from charity rating organizations.

Where We Work

CMMB works wherever in the developing world we find people in need of medicines and quality health care. Every year our programs save lives in over 50 countries around the world.

A Medical Camp in Kenya

A steady stream of patients lined both sides of the road as the vans approached the site.  The site was well prepared and the nurses from North Dakota were quickly assigned to provide care and counseling to the rapidly increasing crowd. Two CMMB volunteers, Jim and Barbara Murphy, had arrived. They traveled for two hours by van with Dr. Bill Hunter, and nurses and volunteers from North Dakota to PCEA Chogoria Hospital in Thuroko, Kenya.  They brought medications, medical supplies and dental instruments.

CMMB Trains Consignees in Supply Chain Management

This summer, CMMB’s Healing Help team launched their Consignee Training in Supply Chain Management program. The main emphasis of this program is capacitating consignees through supply chain management training and health system strengthening. The main goal of the Consignee Training Program will be not only to increase the overall organizational capacity and sustainability of developing country consignees to manage pharmaceuticals effectively and meet their patient’s needs, but to increase the effectiveness of in-kind donations.

He never promised us a rose garden.....

A blog post written by Elsa Sabio, a CMMB volunteer in Honduras.

As a mother of 7, many a time when going through all the joys and tears of motherhood,  I would repeat and sing to myself “He never promised me a rose garden”…
