FedFleet 2010 Takes Off in Phoenix, AZ

Video Length: 29 minutes 40 seconds

FedFleet, the annual gathering of stakeholders in federal agency aircraft and vehicle management, kicked off July 13 in Phoenix, AZ. In remarks opening the 10th annual conference, Administrator Martha Johnson reinforced GSA’s leadership role in both policy and operations, and in the administration’s commitment to improving the effectiveness of federal fleet management.

“The fleet support that we give to the agencies is crucial for them," she said. "It’s crucial that they have operations that give them reliable, efficient, effective, safe, and competitively priced transportation. They are working across the country and globally, and they need to get around, and get around efficiently.”

The conference, held July 13-15, is hosted by the GSA Office of Governmentwide Policy, the Federal Fleet Policy Council, and the Interagency Committee.

The FedFleet 2010 Conference includes training in GSA Automotive Federal Vehicle Standards, aviation workshops sessions, and for the first time, workshops on water vessels. The training sessions on automotive procurement and aircraft-related issues make FedFleet 2010 one more valuable resource for energy efficiency, sustainability, and management effectiveness in government.
