GSA Expertise Delivers For State Department

Video Length: 1 minute 6 seconds

On June 18, Senior Counselor to the Administrator, Stephen R. Leeds and Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton officially opened the renovated George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center.  The Shultz Center provides American diplomats and foreign affairs specialists with the training they need to represent the United States abroad.

The renovation project added significant enhancements to the building’s profile, including a 25 percent increase to the existing training space, state-of-the-art multimedia and communications tools, and an expanded child care center that is set to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design silver certification. As Leeds said, the State Department is another example of GSA completing projects for its partner agencies on time, on budget, and on green.
