As District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration in the Portland District Office, Mr. DeWolf is responsible for the delivery of the SBA's programs and services throughout most of Oregon and five counties in Southwest Washington. Mr. DeWolf oversees a staff of ten and promotes lending and business development assistance in cooperation with area lenders, a network of 21 Small Business Development Centers, six SCORE Chapters located throughout the district, and one Women's Business Center.

Prior to joining the SBA in 2005, Mr. DeWolf served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of AEC Technical Publications, a former SBA 8(a) business. AEC ranked in the top 10 in sales volume among Oregon minority-owned businesses for three consecutive years while establishing international offices in Germany and Canada.

Mr. DeWolf served with distinction during a 20-year U.S. Navy career as a Supply Officer specializing in contracting, services, and supply system management around the world. Mr. DeWolf served on submarines, surface ships, and Naval Special Operations as the on-site contracting, supply, and logistics officer.

Mr. DeWolf holds an MBA in International Business from National University. He holds certifications from Cornell University in Executive Leadership, Villanova University in Six Sigma, and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Operations Management and Pre-law from Oregon State University. Mr. DeWolf is a regular guest speaker at Oregon Colleges and Universities on leadership, entrepreneurship, and emerging economies such as China and Central America. Mr. DeWolf also sits on many local and regional boards and he is active in local business forums and regional business groups.
