Dr. Mabry has been active in graduate and under-graduate instruction since 1971. He has held faculty positions at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Illinois before coming to the Academy. He has directed research (externally funded) involving the use of computers in a variety of professional settings. In 1989, while at the University of Illinois, he received the Commander's Award for Distinguished Public Service (U.S. Army CERL) for the development of training simulations and electronic instructional workbenches for the U.S. Army. Dr. Mabry teaches First Class (senior) cadets in IS450 and coordinates the senior projects activities in the department. His research interests include XML (Extensible Markup Language), XSLT (XML Stylesheet Language Transforms) and other structured information technologies and scripting languages. He is active in the development of new instructional uses of computers in support of alternative student learning styles throughout the curriculum.
