A Message from Mayor Catherine E. Pugh

It is a pleasure to serve you in a new role. I am excited to lead this city as the 50th Mayor of Baltimore. My staff and I are eager to begin working with each of you to create a brighter future for our city.

After all, this is our home. We want families living in every neighborhood to have access to resources and opportunities they need to thrive. We want all individuals to be treated with respect and dignity, and share the responsibility of moving our city forward. I know we can move confidently into the future while remaking Baltimore into a destination where everyone would want to come and live – not just visit.

To paraphrase Orioles manager Buck Showalter, “I love our city!” I am honored to be your Mayor and ask that you join me on this exciting journey.
