FY 2009 Department of State Operations Congressional Budget Justification


The resources requested for Department of State appropriations in FY 2009 will significantly strengthen the core programming, policy, and management capabilities of the Department necessary to carry out vital U.S. diplomatic and consular relations with more than 180 countries. They will also support strategic U.S. engagement abroad through public diplomacy and multilateral diplomacy.
