Timothy Allen serves as Marketing Communications Manager for the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA). A multiple Telly and regional Emmy award winner, Tim has more than 18 years of experience producing hundreds of broadcast and corporate projects for a wide array of Fortune 500 clients as well as every major broadcast television network. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Tim is also an accomplished studio musician who plays more than a dozen instruments.

Over the past decade, he has produced, directed and/or edited many of NASA's most recognized and award-winning television and multimedia programs, including NASA Brain Bites, Space Flight Awareness Videos, Mission Feature Packages for NASA's Space Shuttle and Space Station programs, NASA Connect, World Space Congress, and Astronaut Recruitment PSAs.

Tim currently produces the Innovation Now radio program as well as NASA 360.


Scott Bednar, Associate Producer

Scott Bednar, Associate Producer

In addition to his role as associate producer for NASA 360, Scott Bednar's current work includes production of NASA eClips and Innovation Now.

Hailing from Seaford, New York, Scott Bednar matriculated from Towson University in Maryland, where he pursued a degree in Electronic Media and Film. During that time he gained experience with Renegade Studios. Before coming to the National Institute of Aerospace, Bednar spent a number of years working on the team of a national trade newspaper. His past projects at NIA include NASA & You and Discovery Now and he has provided video editing and technical support for the Virginia Beach City Public School Dynamic Video Library, TEDxNASA, and numerous LiveStream events.

Scott is the recipient of a number of recent honors for technical excellence and creativity including several from the International Academy of the Visual Arts (Communicator, Davey and W3 awards), Aegis, Digital Video, Accolade and a Capitol Region Emmy.


Rebecca Jaramillo, Project Coordinator and Sr. Educator

Rebecca (Becky) Jaramillo is currently serving as the Senior Educator at the National Institute of Aerospace. She holds a Bachelors of Science from Northern Arizona University and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Education Administration. In 2005, Becky received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science Teaching for her innovative teaching methods. Becky recently retired from a career as a middle school science/special education teacher and Assistant Principal in Peoria, Illinois. She continues her lifelong passion for education at NIA by facilitating workshops for educators across the country and developing award-winning STEM resources.

Becky's media credits include NASA Connect, NASA Sci Files, NASA and You, NASA eClips, and most recently, NASA 360.


Caleb Kinchlow, Host

Caleb Kinchlow, Host.

Caleb Kinchlow has always had a passion for media and the arts. Holding degrees in broadcast television, theatre, film and a Masters in Digital Media, Caleb strives to entertain and challenge culture through his craft.

While pursuing higher education, Caleb interned in the programming department of TNT/TBS (Burbank, CA), reading scripts and writing program synopses for new programs. Upon graduation, Caleb was recipient of the "Outstanding Communication Student of The Year Award."

Since beginning his career in media, Caleb has hosted "NCAA on Campus" for CBS College Sports, appeared on the Discovery Channels program "Wicked Attractions," and conducted feature interviews with Miss America and Chef Aaron McCargo of the Food Network. As a Videographer/Editor and Producer, Caleb's projects include interviews featuring Condelezza Rice, Daytona 500 Winner Trevor Baine and the 2012 NCAA Final Four.

Caleb currently serves as Host of the NASA Launchpad Educational Series and Co-host of NASA 360.


Molly McKinney, Host

Molly McKinney, Host.

Molly McKinney is a Telly award-winning Television Host and Producer with over fifteen years experience in the industry.

She began her career at the age of nine on the children's environmental television series, "Aqua Kids." By the age of eighteen, Molly had been diving with wild sharks for eleven years, had appeared in roughly eighty episodes Nation-wide, and was co-producing and hosting the two-time Emmy Award winning television show.

In 2008, Molly graduated from The State University of New York, College at Fredonia as a member of Golden Key International Honor's Society earning a Magna Cum Laude Honors degree in Television/Digital Film Production and the first-ever minor in Tropical Ecology.

Aside from hosting NASA 360, Molly serves as a spokesperson for roughly fifteen different Lowe's products seen in 500 stores Nationwide, an environmental educator conducting school presentations for K-12 audiences, a print model, a free-lance project manager/producer for various companies behind-the-camera, and a commercial actress. And keep an eye out for her in a new spin-off show called "Aqua Kids Extreme Adventures" which will get viewers up-close to seemingly "dangerous" wildlife.

In her free time, Molly enjoys karaoke, Scuba diving, snowboarding, eating sour patch kids, and playing with her dog, Jack. She also tries to find time to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation in coordinating animal-related wishes and fostering puppies for her local Humane Society.


Harla Sherwood, Principal Investigator

Harla Sherwood serves as Director of Communications and Partnerships for the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA). She leads NIA's Media Communications Group, which produces NASA 360 and the Innovation Now radio program. Harla also serves as the Principal Investigator on a grant with NASA, WGBH and NOVA that produced the Finding Life Beyond Earth documentary and a national outreach effort.

Previous media efforts include the NASA Center for Distance Learning programs, Discover Now radio program, TEDxNASA, and Shamu TV.


Tom Shortridge, Associate Producer

Tom Shortridge, Associate Producer

Tom Shortridge is an Emmy award-winning video producer from Sussex County, Delaware.

Aside from his role as associate producer for NASA 360, Tom's current work includes production of NASA eClips and video support for the NASA Real World/In World Engineering Design Challenge.

His previous projects at NIA include RASC-AL, Robo-Ops, and NASA & You. Tom has also provided video production and technical support for the Office of Naval Research, Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and TEDxNASA, as well as numerous non-profit organizations. In addition, he has led livestreaming efforts for the launches of JUNO, GRAIL, and the Mars Science Laboratory, as well as SPACE 2012 Conference, the Joint Propulsion Conference, and the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference.

Tom has earned numerous awards for his video productions, including Accolade, W3, DV, Aegis, and a Capitol Region Emmy.
