As an individual investor who tries to take a "long" investment strategy in companies that are thoughtfully and aggressively managed, any lack of oversight/regulation on the capital markets which encourages the extraordinary amount of "funny business" now seemingly commonplace is clearly against my interest as an investor and against the long term interests of our financial system.
