Born November 15, 1959, in Montgomery, she was the daughter of the late Dewayne and Wanda Taylor.
Diane is survived by her son, Robert Taylor of Pinch; daughters, Deanna Taylor of St. Albans and Savannah Dawson of Charleston; six grandchildren; brothers, Dannie Taylor of Clay, Dean Taylor of Lizemores and David Taylor of Fola; and sister, Drema Walker of Clendenin.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 19, at Wilson-Shamblin-Smith Funeral Home, Clay, with Minister Dannie Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis McNeece and Shirley Lowe; her father, Benjamin Divita; her mother, Mary Divita; and one son-in-law, Chuck Tompkins.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. Burial will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene.

Born January 1, 1943, in St. Albans, Dorothy was the daughter of the late James and Esther Lawson Little.
She was a homemaker and former manager of the men's department at Value City Department Store. She was a member of Pilgrim Home Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active in the women's ministry and a member of the choir.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lewis Sr.; son, Thomas Little Lewis Jr. of St. Albans; brother, James Little of Charleston; grandchildren, Cierra Chantel Lewis, Jordan La'Shay Lewis, Thomas James Lewis and Chanc Robert Lewis, all of St. Albans; and also a host of friends.

Clyde served in the United States Army. He owned Murdock Printing Company in Memphis for 20 years; then, he was called to the ministry as a superintendent of Charleston Union Mission. He then retired to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he and his beloved wife, Maggie, resided until he moved back to Memphis, where he lived until his death.
Clyde is survived by his two daughters, Margo Peterson and Cathy Zuckerman Dee; plus eight granddaughters; four great-grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral service and interment will follow visitation at 11 a.m. All will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road, Memphis. A memorial service will also be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Kirby Pines Retirement Community, 3535 Kirby Road, Memphis.

He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Elks Lodge. Nile was a proud graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, where he played football and was All-State both his junior and senior years. He fondly cherished these times and received countless college scholarship offers, yet he chose to serve his country and join the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Graves and Jettie Samples; son, Nile Samples Jr.; sisters, Betty Lang and Janet Samples.
Surviving are his loving wife, Catherine Fitzgerald Samples; daughter, Missy Samples-Martinez of New York and her companion, Jimmy Kimberling, who served as Niles' friend and support over the last several years; sister, Helen Vorholt of Hurricane; and grandson, Nile Samples Martinez.

Born July 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Ryland Toombs and Agnes Bowyer Toombs. Charles was known by his friends as "Chuck" and also by his family and early-childhood friends by the nickname of "Jerry." At the age of 17, Chuck became the youngest person in the state to receive his pilot's license. He graduated from Beckley College and was a pilot and an air traffic controller for the U.S. Air Force. While at Andrews Air Force Base he helped with the landings and take-offs of several U.S. presidents' planes. Chuck truly loved being a pilot and working in the air traffic industry. He retired from Yeager Airport in Charleston with 29 years as an air traffic controller. Chuck was the developer and owner of the Hill'n Dale Estates mobile home court. Chuck and his wife, Barbara, attended Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 17 years, Barbara Hickman-Toombs of Oak Hill; daughters, Kaye Woodrum-Robertson and spouse, Patrick, of Roanoke, Va., and Kathy Hickman-James and spouse, Mark, of Hurricane; a sister, Betty Toombs Hiser of Newark, Ohio; a brother, Tom Toombs of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Darrin Woodrum, Novella Thompson, Josh and Justin James, Shelly Street and Reece and Tori James; and three nieces and one nephew.
His remains rest at High Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 1435 E. Main St., Oak Hill, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jerry Bush, the Rev. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Mr and Mrs. George and Ruby (Pennington) Whittington; and a sister, Marilyn "Sue" Surface and her infant daughter, Melinda Noel Surface.
He is survived by a sister, Carolyn "Ann" Ball, her husband, Woodrow, and her children, Shawn, Josh and Jeff Parsons and their families. He is also survived by a niece, Emily Ann Surface. Gary also wanted to recognize his special aunt (his mother's twin), Ruth Pennington. He also leaves several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other friends and neighbors, along with his companion German shepherd, Eva. In addition, Gary wanted to also recognize his basketball buddies, which included his longtime pal, Mr. Larry Chatfield. The family and Gary would also wish to appreciate Gary's very special friend and his guardian angel, Ms. Esther Depedro.
Gary was involved in many sports as a youth but always excelled at basketball, having played center for '61-'64 Charleston High Mountain Lions and with the West Virginia Tech Golden Bears until an automobile accident ended his college career in 1965. Later, Gary graduated with a business degree from Morris Harvey College/University of Charleston.
He loved to play competitive basketball and continued to participate many years, leading to the Senior Olympics. In December of 2011, Gary participated in the Florida International Senior Games with his team, Allstate/Leesburg, taking the gold medal. Early in 2012 he also served as a player/coach in the National Masters Basketball USA Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla. Gary was also elected to the Delaware Senior Olympics Board while he lived there.
A memorial service celebrating Gary's life will be held on Sunday, October 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Room 2 at the South Charleston Community Center, 601 Jefferson Road, South Charleston. Please bring your memories, any photos, etc., to share with family and friends.
