Endangered
- Blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus)
- Bocaccio rockfish (Sebastes paucispinis)- Puget Sound/ Georgia Basin Distinct Population Segment (DPS)
- Fin whale (Balaenoptera physalus)
- Humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae)
- Leatherback sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea)
- North Pacific right whale (Eubalaena japonica)
- Sei whale (Balaenoptera borealis)
- Southern resident killer whale (Orcinus orca)
- Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus)
Threatened
- Canary rockfish (Sebastes pinniger)- Puget Sound/ Georgia Basin DPS
- Eulachon (Thaleichthys pacificus)- Southern DPS
- Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas)*
*Green turtles are listed as threatened, except for breeding populations of green turtles in Florida and on the Pacific coast of Mexico, where they are listed as endangered. - Green sturgeon (Acipenser medirostris)- Southern DPS
- Loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta)
- Steller sea lion (Eumetopias jubatus) - Eastern DPS
- Yelloweye rockfish (Sebastes ruberrimus)- Puget Sound/ Georgia Basin DPS
Note: To be eligible for funding through the Species Recovery Grants program, species listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) must be covered by the State's section 6 agreement. Proposed and candidate species that occur in the State do not need to be listed on the agreement to be eligible for funding.
